In early 2021 the parking garage of OurDomain Holendrecht became the site of a mural that was as demanding as it was ambitious. The brief was straightforward. The execution was not. Translating a clean design onto a ceiling required a level of accuracy that couldn’t rely on intuition alone.

To meet that challenge the project brought in mathematician Zedz to map every coordinate onto the surface with a grid precision of 0.01. With that system in place the team could work with confidence, turning a complex overhead drawing into something buildable at real scale.

Supported by assistants Mirko Mann, Beter Blij Leven, Desjaek and the artist’s husband the full mural was completed in ten days. Instead of spray paint the work used Putop paint from Neverlak, chosen for its coverage and durability.

The result is a graphic ceiling piece that continues to hold up beautifully in a space where people rarely look up but always notice when they do.
